I'm currently directing geriatric education at Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. I like to ski and go to ceremonies. I am the author of Coyote Medicine, Coyote Healing, Coyote Wisdom, Narrative Medicine, and Healing the Mind through the Power of Story: The Promise of Narrative Psychiatry. I helped found Coyote Institute (for Studies of Change and Transformation) and am actively involved in trying to move forward our agenda to transform health care in the world through healing circle and connecting traditional healers to the rest of us. My upcoming book is Narrative Healing, co-authored with Barbara Mainguy. Our latest paper is about healing/talking circles in primary care. I have also recently co-authored a paper with Joe Behler on Peer-Counseling Groups for Mood Disorders.
